Richard Tan appointed as CEO of MullenLowe Group China in July, 2017. Tan is responsible for managing the 230-person agency across three offices in Shanghai, Beijing and Chengdu.
Tan is a Singaporean who has been working and living in China for more than 19 years. He has held several senior management roles as country head in three reputable agency network in China in the past 17 years.
Apart from his past hands-on experiences with several client categories including FMCG, Automobile, Wine & Spirit and technology clients, Tan is known for his success in steering integration of agencies’ offerings and establishing contemporary digital-centric offerings. He is an idea-centric practitioner, highly integrated in his thinking and approach to drive effective creative business solutions; under his leadership, his teams had earned a good track record for developing many effective marketing campaigns with enviable results in China.
He operates with a high level of integrity, is creatively led with a keen understanding of the China business landscape. He fosters robust client relationships (with both local and international) and understands the intricacies of managing co-op business partnerships to find better solutions for his clients’ marketing challenges.
